Barneys New York announced that it will partner with The High End, a luxury cannabis lifestyle shop, with a store-within-a-store located at Barneys’ flagship brick-and-mortar store in Beverly Hills.
Scheduled to open in March, The High End features upscale cannabis brand Beboe with a wide selection of luxury accessories, elevated wellness products, beauty, and jewelry. Barneys New York plans to expand The High End to its additional California locations in the near future.
The concept shop will highlight rare and exclusive items made especially for the Barneys location. The High End is a perfect name considering its retail prices. A sterling silver pot grinder is available with a price tag of $1,475. Other products to be carried include Devambez rolling papers made from organically grown French hemp, gold rolling papers from Shine. Martine Ali- and Ginger Brown-designed stash boxes, handblown water pipes by Siemon and Salazar and Good Art Hlywd joint holders.

“Barneys New York has always been at the forefront of shifts in culture and lifestyle, and cannabis is no exception,” said Daniella Vitale, Chief Executive Officer and President, Barneys New York in a press statement. “Many of our customers have made cannabis a part of their lifestyle, and The High End caters to their needs with extraordinary products and service they experience in every facet of Barneys New York.”
“I’m so thrilled that cannabis culture has come so far that it can exist and feel perfectly at home in such a prestigious context as Barneys New York,” said Scott Campbell, co-founder, Beboe. “Barneys has never been shy about pushing creative boundaries in retail, and it makes perfect sense that they would be the first to support and elevate cannabis to new levels,”
The collaboration with Beboe will include offering an exclusive, special edition silver Beboe vaporizer pen to celebrate the partnership. Representatives from Beboe will be available in the location to speak with customers. The white glove delivery service, Emjay, can also be used as part of The High End’s upscale retail experience.
Additionally, vintage accessories including lighters, trays, and cases will pay homage as well as attract those buyers following 20th century cannabis culture. More upscale products will feature horn lighters from Lorenzi Milano, leather ashtrays and lighters from Giobagnara, and ashtrays from Laboratorio Pesaro,
CBD-infused beauty and scented products will be offered with brand names including Lab to Beauty, Saint Jane, Foria, Flora and Bast, Vertly, Body Vibes, The Good Patch, Malin + Goetz, Heretic, and Boysmells.
The shop will also showcase jewelry and accessory items ranging from sterling silver pastille dispensers to grinder necklaces from Hoorsenbuhs, Brent Neale, Carole Shashona, R.O.E., Sorellina, M. Cohen, Miansai and Barton Perriera.
Barneys certainly has a reputation to maintain considering its axiom is “the Barneys of fill-in the blank” to describe a very high-end item. In fact, Page Six of the New York Times described MedMen, the marijuana dispensary chain, as “the Barneys of weed.”
This is one way the retailer is moving forward by focusing on its California location considering the upheaval and change for luxe shopping in New York City. The flagship location in Manhattan’s Upper West Side was closed on February 18, 2018. After arbitration held later in 2018, the decision was that rent for another Barneys located in Manhattan would be doubled.
The High End will be located on the fifth floor of Barneys New York, Beverly Hills. All products will also be available for purchase online at Barneys.com.
